The Retail sales report provides an aggregated measure of sales of retail goods and services over a monthly time period. This measure is calculated by the National Statistics Institute (INE), Spain. Retail sales are seasonal, volatile and relatively important to the overall economy.

| Spanish Retail Sales fell on a monthly basis for May 2017 by 57% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at 0.3%, falling from previous month’s value of 0.7%. Retail Sales MoM in Spainpeaked at an all-time high point of3.10% in April of 1998and hit rock-bottom at-7.40% in September of 2012. |
