Before the beginning of the WEC championship, Aston Martin Racing representatives declared their lofty aims for the season, and these were not empty words. In the first race of the season, 6 Hours of Silverstone, England, with the crew of Nicki THIIM, Marco SØRENSEN, and Darren TURNER, the team has already won third place in the GTE Pro class driving their Aston Martin Vantage V8. In the GTE Am, class, Aston Martin Racing won second place. Congratulations to the team on their successful start of the season!

The race was a rough fight, and several vehicles were unable to reach the finish line. For instance, the Porshe 911 Hybrid was the overall favorite, but it tied with another car on the track, overturned, and hit the bumper. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
The driving crew for the IQ Option Vantage V12 # 007 consists of Nicki THIIM, Marco SØRENSEN, and Darren TURNER, about to fight for the top in the 24-hour marathon at Nurburgring, for which preparations are to begin in a month. The next race of the World Endurance Championship is on May 7 at the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
