“IQ Option blocked my account”
A very popular statement read by our traders on forums. So let’s talk about how often we actually do block accounts without the owner’s consent and why this might happen:
Yes, we do block accounts of traders. How often? VERY RARELY.
Why we block accounts:
- When a trader uses someone else’s payment details to deposit or withdraw from the platform. It is of utmost importance for the traders to use their own cards and e-wallets to prevent money laundering;
- When our financial department notices suspicious transactions on trader’s account. In such cases, we block the account and ask the owner to confirm the operations;
- When we detect multiple accounts. Please note that the customer is obliged to register only 1 (one) Real account with the company. Thus, we keep the right to get the accounts blocked for the violation of our policy;
- When the account owner deliberately provides false information about his personal details, for example, this might happen with the underage customer, who set another date of birth or people who register accounts with names of their family members/friends;
- When trader refuses to provide his/ her documents to verify the account and confirm the identity;
- When the client occurred to be the citizen or resident of the USA, Australia, Belgium, Israel, Sudan, Syria, Iran, North Korea or Japan.
What you need to do if you can not access your account:
- Make sure that you are entering the correct login and password details;
- Check the Inbox and Spam folders of the e-mail attached to your trading account;
- If you find no e-mail from us, please contact our 24/7 Support team via the support@iqoption.com to get the fast and qualified assistance.
Important:
- No account gets blocked without a solid reason.
- You can always contact our support via the e-mail address support@iqoption.com to receive the information needed and get the account unblocked (if it complies).
- As soon as we receive the documents or other proof of the actions being legal, we unblock the account straight away.
- Blocking accounts for no reason is ILLEGAL and would get our operation suspended by now. So far we have grown to 15 million accounts and are expecting a further rapid enlargement once we release our new, even more professional and thrilling product.

I’m afraid about this point as I’m doing this. But the intention is not wrong. The neteller and skrill accounts under my name has been suspended a long time ago even before I joined on trading. I use to deposit money on iqoption through a neteller account under my name. I have show every proof of my father from birth certification to my father’s passport and my passport to match this. As I don’t have any neteller/skrill account under my name, how can I avoid this situation? I can only upload or receive payment on my father neteller account. I don’t have any credit card as well. According to my country, there are tons of rules and regulation to have a credit card. And you will never be able to send money to other country via wire transfer. So, what should I do?

I decided to take a 2nd authorisation security code for more safer option. I received a text message with a code I entered the code and as soon as I done this I got blocked. I received 3 codes none of them worked I made 3 phone calls to iq option explain the issue an facing. I also have a running trade and money left in my account which I can’t see what is going on. All my ID is up to date. This iq option is a problem senice I joined all I been having is problems chat to 24hr support which is useless. Phone calls. Iam feadup. I didn’t expect this. My account has been blocked and I have tried to resolve the issue with the support team. One month ago I uploaded proof of address as requested but it seems it failed to upload. I tried again recently but the account is was blocked. I am not very good with IT and struggle to complete these requests. My son in law usually helps but was not available this time. The support team refuse to unblock my account so that I can provide proof of address and now are closing the account. I have not moved address and I have not completed any trading. It seems very unfair to take such drastic action especially as I a very small trader with limited knowledge.

My account was wrongfully blocked as my withdrawal request was denied as it was scored as a suspicious activity. However, the Data protection officer was so kind to provide me with the outdated data instead of the data for the periode in which my account was being blocked. I made a data request on under GDPR for the period my account was being blocked by the payment manager, unfortunately the provided files weren’t easily readable or of the right period. The personal data/information was send to my personal email-address while my account was being blocked due to suspicious activities. Futhermore, it seems the IP’s of the email-servers of IQoption aren’t safe and transferring personal ID-documentations is unprotected. Unfortunately IQoption, doesn’t offer a secure SSO option to upload sensitive personal documentations.
I haven’t heard anything from IQoption on my complaint against the payment manager, as my belongings aren’t being transferred for over 2 months now, communications seems to be silent from the side of IQoption (including support@iqoption.com). Which organization in Cyprus can help me with handling official complains against IQoption in order to receive my belongings?

why at the time of withdrawal of the funds only your finances department holding amount of the customers and your support team said that its a normal business practices, you are holding amount 15 to 20 days and more than that..why..?? you can process the amount of the customers.
