Customizing the Platform for Optimal Trading Experience

The IQ Option trading platform is packed with features. It is, therefore, not always easy to choose those that suit your trading style. By customizing the interface, you will be able to get the max out of the platform. And who knows, maybe even become a better trader. In today’s article we will take a closer look at the platform settings and how to adjust them to your liking.

By clicking the ‘Settings’ button, you will open a menu with five tabs. Each of them has to do with a different aspect of your trading experience.

Appearance

This tab is all about user interface and ways to represent information in the trade room. In the ‘Appearance’ tab you can set the time zone (this feature can be especially useful when following major international news) and your preferred language.

Here you can also choose one of the four color schemes. Pick the one you like. In trading, everything is important. You have to feel comfortable in order to demonstrate better results. Show/hide the world map as you wish, which is also there for purely cosmetic reasons. Some traders would say it makes the trading panel more colorful, while others prefer a clean interface with no background images. Using this menu, you can scale the interface, which can come in handy when trading on unusually small or big displays.

Finally, in this tab you will also find a number of checkboxes that correspond to different ways of representing information about your deals and the price action.

Trading

This tab is built around several checkboxes. Some of them are active by default. All are of utmost importance and will have an impact on your trading results! Here you can adjust the way you trade options and CFDs on Forex, crypto, stocks, commodities and ETFs — with a single click or with an additional confirmation. The same applies to how you close open positions. And again, the options are the same: you can do it with a single click or with a confirmation. The last checkbox in this section will either let you open several deals in the same tab or a new one.

Keyboard shortcuts

This section contains a list of useful shortcuts that you may want to use in trading. Remember how designers constantly use shortcuts when working with graphics software? This is just the same. Yet, instead of Photoshop you have the IQ Option trading application. If memorized, this tab will definitely make the navigation process in the application easier and more intuitive.

Notifications

In this tab you can switch on and off two types of notifications: 1) the ones you get when your position is about to close and 2) the ones that notify you of your new positions in the rating during the current week.

Privacy

Privacy tab will help you hide personal data from other traders. Here you can receive an imaginary name to be used on the platform (in chats, leaderboards and so on) and show/hide your deals to other traders.

Conclusion

Don’t forget that you can always ask our support specialists for help when you do not understand a particular aspect of the trading platform, including its settings. Now when you know how to customize the interface in accordance with your needs and trading style, you can proceed to the trading platform to adjust the settings.
