Balance of Trade

A monetary based measurement of the difference between exports and imports. Sweden’s Balance of Trade is estimated by Statistics Sweden. Exports surpassing imports means a surplus and is healthy for the economy.

Swedish Balance of Trade

Swedish Trade Balance jumped into a surplus on a monthly basis for June 2017, increasing by 187.50% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at SEK 2.8 billion, surpassing previous month’s values of SEK -3.2 billion. Balance of Trade in Sweden peaked at an all-time high point of SEK 21.90 billion in March of 2006 and hit rock-bottom at SEK -10.10 billion in August of 2016.
