Unemployment Change

A report on the number of people that are unemployed and seeking for work. Unemployment change is measured by Eurostat. A lower value reflects on a strong labor market, adding to consumer spending, economic growth and the possibility of a rate hike by central banks.

 Spain’s Unemployment Rate

Spain’s Unemployment rate was lower by 12.14% in June 2017, compared to previous month’s value. More specifically, the number of people registered as unemployed in Spain in June of 2017 was 98,317 while in May of 2017 was 111,900. June’s results were also almost 22,000 lower than expectations. Unemployment change in Spainpeaked at an all-time high point of461,010 in January of 2001and hit rock-bottom at-129,300 in April of 2017.
