Industrial Production

A measure of output of the industrial sector of the economy. It measures the amount of output from the manufacturing, mining, electric and gas industries. Spain Industrial Production is calculated by the National Statistics Institute, Spain. A rise in industrial production reflects positive on growth statistics as they reflect on consumer spending and exports.

 Spanish industrial production

Spanish industrial production jumped on a yearly basis for the month of May 2017 having an increase of 500% compared with the previous month’s value. Results were reported at 3%, while the previous value was 0.5% and beating expectations of 2%. Industrial production in the Spainpeaked at an all-time high point of13.60% in February of 1977 and a record low of -21.60% in March of 2009.
