Consumer Price Index measures the pricing levels in goods and services. Inflation rate is calculated month-by-month by Federal State Statistics Service. Inflation happens when prices rise, whereas purchasing value falls, put simpler, when too much money is chasing too few products.

 Russian Consumer Price Index

Russian Consumer Price Index increased on a monthly basis for June 2017 by 50% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at 0.6%, surpassing previous month’s value of 0.4% and beat expectations of 0.4%. Inflation Rate MoM in Russiapeaked at an all-time high point of100% in July of 1992and hit rock-bottom at-0.37% in August of 2003.
