The Japanese Producer Prices index tracks the average price change in the prices of goods and services that are sold wholesale by manufacturers and producers in a given month versus the previous month. The statistic is published monthly by the Bank of Japan.

| In June 2017, the Japanese Producer Prices index increased by 2.1% versus the previous month, in line with consensus estimates of 2.1%. Historically the index reached an all-time high of 33.9% in February 1974 and an all-time low of -8.6% of in August 2009. |
