Unemployment Rate

A report on the number of people that are unemployed and seeking for work. This measure is estimated by Statistics Norway. A lower value reflects on a strong labor market, adding to consumer spending, economic growth and the possibility of a rate hike by central banks.

 Norwegian Unemployment Rate

Norwegian Unemployment Rate increased on a quarterly basis for May of 2017 by 2.22% when compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at 4.6%, rising from previous month’s value of 4.5% and exceeding expectations of 4.4%. Unemployment Rate in Norwaypeaked at an all-time high point of4.90% in July of 2016and hit rock-bottom at2.30% in April of 2008.
