Japan Services PMI

The Japanese Services Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) tracks data from 400 companies in order to extract an indication of the performance level of the Japanese service sector, by taking into account data inputs like sales, employment offers, inventory prices and other. All else equal, an index reading above 50 indicates economic expansion whereas in the opposite scenario indicates economic contraction. The index is published monthly by Markit Economics.
