Japan Inflation Rate MoM

The Japanese Inflation Rate MoM or consumer price index (CPI) is tracking the price changes of a basket of goods and services that households purchase. The number is calculated monthly versus the previous month with a specific year selected as a base. The statistic is published monthly by the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

In May 2017, inflation was flat versus April. Historically the index rose the most by 4.1% in January 1974 and fell the most by -1.1% in November 1977.
