Business Confidence

The Japanese Business Confidence index is derived from an email questionnaire sent to 1,100 Japanese manufacturers with capital over 1 billion Yen, and takes into account current businesses trend and future expectations. The index is considered a leading indicator and ranges from -100 to 100. A reading above 0 indicates higher confidence, whereas 0 or below 0 indicates no change or lower expectations respectively. The statistic is published by Bank of Japan every month.
