Consumer Confidence

A survey passed onto consumers having them rate and ask their opinion regarding the future of economic conditions for the next 6 months. The indicator is estimated by ISAE/ISTAT. A leading indicator reflecting on consumer spending that could drive the future of the economy if the statistic is at optimistic values.

 Italian consumer confidence

Italian consumer confidence rose on a monthly basis for June 2017, increasing slightly by 0.95% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at 106.4, far from previous month’s value of 105.4 and beating expectations of 105.0. Consumer Confidence in Italypeaked at an all-time high point of120.86 in November of 1988and hit rock-bottom at82.40 in January of 2013.
