Balance of Trade

A monetary based measurement of the difference between exports and imports. Exports surpassing imports means a surplus and is healthy for the economy. This measured is estimated month-by-month by the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT).

 Italian Trade Balance

Italian Trade Balance increased on a monthly basis for May 2017 by 20.55% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at €4340 million, surpassing previous month’s value of €3600 million and beat expectations of €2430 million. Balance of Trade in Italypeaked at an all-time high point of€7902 million in July of 2015and hit rock-bottom at-€6389 million in January of 2011.
