Swiss Inflation Rate

Consumer Price Index measures the pricing levels of goods and services. This index is measured on a monthly basis and it is calculated by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. Inflation happens when prices rise, whereas purchasing value falls, put simpler, when too much money is chasing too few products.

Swiss Consumer Price Index declined on a yearly basis for June 2017 by 60% compared to previous month’s value. Results were reported at 0.2%, declining from previous month’s values of 0.5% and failing to meet expectations of 0.3%. Inflation Rate in Switzerland peaked at an all-time high point of 11.92% in December of 1973 and hit rock-bottom at -1.40% in August of 2015.
