Unemployment Rate

The German Unemployment Rate measures the number of unemployed people currently looking for a job as a percentage of the total number of people that are labor capable. The statistic is published monthly by the Deutsche Bundesbank.

In May 2017, the German unemployment rate remain flat at 3.9% versus the previous month. Historically the unemployment rate reached an all-time low of 0.4% in March 1966 and an all-time high of 11.5% in April 1950.
