Inflation Rate MoM

Inflation refers to a sustained increase in the overall price level of a country’s economy. The Inflation Rate is the percentage change in a price index like the CPI. When the inflation rate is negative then it corresponds to deflation and when the inflation rate is still positive but in a slower pace, then the economy is facing disinflation. This metric is calculated on month-over-month basis. This metric is reported on a monthly basis by INSEE.

In Jun 2017 the indicator remained at 0% in line with the previous month. The figure was also in line with the consensus. This figure was at its historical lows of -1.0% in Jan 2015 and at its highs of 0.83% in Mar 2012.
