Inflation Rate

Inflation refers to a sustained increase in the overall price level of a country’s economy. The Inflation Rate is the percentage change in a price index like the CPI. When the inflation rate is negative then it corresponds to deflation and when the inflation rate is still positive but in a slower pace, then the economy is facing disinflation. This metric is calculated on year-over-year basis. This metric is reported on a monthly basis by INSEE.
