Current Account

The Current Account is the sum of trade balance, balance of services, net income received from abroad and current transfers with the trade balance usually being the major determinant. If the current account is positive (surplus) then it means that the country is a lender to the rest of the world whereas a negative reading (deficit) means that the country borrows from the rest of the world. This metric is reported on a monthly basis by Banque de France.
