Business Confidence

Business Confidence Indicator measures the state of the businesses and its coming prospects. It is based on a survey conducted among major companies in major industries. A reading above 110 indicates optimistic sentiment whereas a reading below 90 indicates a pessimistic sentiment. This metric is reported on a monthly basis by INSEE.

French Business Confidence

In Jun 2017 the indicator fell to 108 from 109 the previous month representing a change of -0.9%. The figure also fell short of the consensus by 0.9%. This figure was at its historical lows of 67 in Mar 2009 and at its highs of 125 in Jun 2009.
