Gross Fixed Capital Formation

Gross Fixed Capital Formation measures the difference between the acquisition and disposal of produced fixed assets. Higher levels indicate economic growth, whereas lower levels might indicate contraction. Historically Gross Fixed Capital Formation reached an all-time high of 429 CAD billion in Q4 quarter of 2014 and an all-time low of 52.6 CAD billion in Q1 of 1961. The figure is published by Statistics Canada on a quarterly basis.
