Private Sector Credit

The Private Sector Credit index measures and tracks the change in the line of credit of the country’s private sector including housing, personal and business loans. This metric is reported on a monthly basis by Reserve Bank of Australia.

In May 2017 the indicator was the same as with the previous month at 0.4% which means that the line of credit into the private sector keeps rising at the same rate. This figure was at its historical lows of -0.50% in Jul 1992 and at its highs of 2.9% in Jul 1986.
